280zx strut swap, gives huge brake upgrade simultaneously. If you need lower, DIY coilovers. Coilovers or cut coils for rear. Stiffer springs if you're after better handling, 200ish lb springs are the benchmark for street driven 510 front.

Took me 10 seconds to find all this and there are pages and pages left. Go through some 510 build threads, just about everyone lowers their 510.... and then there are the 610/710/810/A10 S10 that have similar suspensions that have been lowered and have had to solve the same problems. You haven't even said if you have a goon or a sedan....

 

 

There is no 'best way' there is only the way YOU want it, what you can afford or what are capable of doing. There are many ways to get the job done, can be very expensive or not.
