Has anyone ever seen these before?

So Tim picked up a 69 wagon to drive while we fix his car.  Checking the car over I noticed this.  They are defiantly come out next time his is up.  They look so scary!

Yah those are scarey they tend to brake that's why no one uses them any more

 

 

So you've seen them?  What is the point?  To try and change the bump steer?  the wagon has the lowest bump steer of all the 510's.  Seems dumb to put those in.

It would add more/less camber and more bump steer.  seems like a dangerous way to try and fix a non problem.  A slight bit of camber isn't going to matter on pizza cutter tires.  Shnikes I gotta get those out of there!

But the tilt (rotation) looks like to the rear which would, I think, be more caster.

 

(separate question)

 

When you change caster (more positive) by adjusting the top hat to the rear, are you not bending the LCA like this on that pin it's on? I suppose the rubber gives but the movement is at right angles to the pin.
