510 Drift car "Swamp thing" Now endure car!

Recommended Posts

Frank and Dillon found this beauty a while back.  I talked them out of it, so now I need to build a drift car!  I have a huge list of projects, so why not add one more.  Someone did a lot of work to make it a race car.  Seems they never got around to racing it.  The engine had brand new oil in it, to bad it was seized from water getting into the intake.  I picked up a VQ35 for it a while ago I just need a transmission.   So if anyone knows of one laying around let me know.

Cool! Do you think you'll keep the stock style trailing arms? Looking forward to seeing what happens!

Yeah I'm just going to install a set Byron's brackets on the back and call it a day.

New problem.  Just happen to pick up another racecar, an X rally car.  Don't know much about it.  The one rally tires says it was raced in the 90's maybe earlier, I'm going contact SCCA and see if I can any more info.  After finding the cage inspection # I sent it to Troy Ermish, he is thinking the number is from the early 70's!!  Who would have though the car is still in one piece after all those years.  Anyone know how I can find out more info?  Since the doors on this car open I think I'm going to use it instead.  Plus the history is cool!  All the windows were smashed out by kids when it sat in a field for a few years.  Needs rockers bad!!!!  Besides and a few holes in the floors its not to bad...  Here are some photos I took of how it sits.

Carter, Sam and I are building it into an Enduro car for an event at our local track.   Needs to be "Stock" and last for 4 hours.  Lots to do and we have about 6 weeks to get it done.  Luckily at work we have a christmas break to get some work done.
