Marsh510
Just got my 510 up and running, pushed in the clutch, hear a grinding noise, put it into 1st and 2nd gear, i can hear the noise still. Any ideas? Was thinking it might be the Pilot or throw out bearing that isnt good. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Is this with the clutch pedal down all the time? If yes, this can only be the release bearing, maybe the pilot bushing. These are replicable and cheap, $25 for both so not that bad. Transmission making grinding noise is far worse. Quote Link to comment
Marsh510
Yes, pedal down all the time. I have a new throw out bearing, ill buy the pilot incase. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Release bearing may be on backwards? Pilot is only $3. The rear seal in the transmission is also only $5 and should be changed at the same time. These are cheap but not easily got at and should be changed at every opportunity.. Quote Link to comment
