scooter
How come my webers keep going out of sync? They're on a new cannon intake with the stock cannon linkage, new weber 45 152's.. Seems like every 2 weeks something moves and then they're out of sync. It's always the idle setting that changes. Is there a better throttle lever I can buy to bolt on the side of the carbs? I think there's play in the slot where the throttle arm connects to. I can't really do a center pull cause I don't think my throttle cable is long enough and I have an extra arm comming off the rod to hit the wot switch for the nos. Any ideas? 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Centerpull linkage. Search Ratsun for it. Get it. 2 Quote Link to comment

Get thw kit with a 3/8" rod, your choice R or L side of carb I use these with Mikun's too: http://www.piercemanifolds.com/product_p/pm3701-l.htm Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Adding a backing plate between the velocity stacks and carb bodies helps keep the carbs in synch too. 1 Quote Link to comment

KoHeartsGPA
Sometimes its something that makes you scratch your head AFTER you went crazy trying to solve the problem...lol...been there! Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Red Loctite on the throttle shaft nuts will keep it all together. And be careful when tightening them. Don't use the opposite nut on the other end of the shaft to hold when tightening. This can twist the shaft making the butterfly opening uneven. Don't over tighten them either. 1 Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
Love the Peirce throttle rods, I use them all the time. Don't like their (or Cannon's) sheet metal arms, I always go with either the cast, or billet ones. And I would NEVER use red loctite on the adjustments, just too damn hard to adjust down the line. Their light duty blue works just fine. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
yes Blue. red is too much strength. Might never get it adjusted again Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Not on the adjusters, on the throttle shafts, where the linkage is mounted. Yes, red loctitie. Quote Link to comment
scooter
When I first put this combo together I put them too tight and it was hanging the throttle open all the time.. It seems to be good now, I wailed on it and it's still synced. It will be getting some locktite on there soon. Last winter I did have the carbs all apart so I guess it was something overlooked Quote Link to comment
