distributorguy
Fix that body mount before you lose access!!! 2 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully a hole will be cut for the body mount access, and the hole should be seam welded to the body mount to keep water from seeping in between. 2 Quote Link to comment

emerida07
Hey man looks great. My floor pans are just as bad as yours were. What gage sheet metal did you use? Quote Link to comment
distributorguy
I've used 18 gauge - close to original. If you want you can use 16 gauge - its thicker and more difficult to work with, but doesn't "pop can" if you don't have a bead roller or some way to strengthen it as the factory did. Aibast
Next run rear lights wires inside the frame as the connector should be right there under the passanger side seat. You can use one of the rubber plugs to get it trough to the cab. The rear has just 7 wires so regulas trailer cable works great in there. What did you do to rustproof the underside of the repair? J's 620
Ooooh I like this. Nice work. A little rust goes a long way if left alone. Looks worse than my floor pans! Nice write up. Quote Link to comment

I cut all of the rust out and rustoleum heavy rust primer as much as I could that wasn't going to burn with the welding . I'm not done with the underneath yet but I'm going to run heavy duty construction glue over the sims and probably run bed liner or a thick coat of undercarriage paint. 1 Quote Link to comment
