hughretroltd
I'm looking at getting some side draft carbs for my 521. I've rebuilt many a carburetor in my life and needed some information. My question is .. Is there a chart to go by in reference about rejetting a pair of 40's to run better? Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I don't think there's a chart, as there are so many different variations of intake and exhaust manifolds, cams, cylinder heads, etc. Pierce Manifolds should be able to help you with any jetting questions or parts. 2 Quote Link to comment

KoHeartsGPA
I'm running single 48mm mikuni in my L20b....had to order jets...depending on weather and atmospheric conditions you will find yourself doing swaps....not a big deal, takes less than a minute to swap out couple jets....I love my side draft  Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Right, jetting is completely dependent on where you live (or drive the car). Hainz' jetting in the Pacific NW is going to be different from the South on the Atlantic. One rule of thumb that will help lessen the risk of engine damage, while tuning; if you need to make the engine run leaner, try adding air instead of taking away fuel. 2 Quote Link to comment
scooter
There's a chart that will give you a base emulsion tube, main jet and air corrector for a 1600. Oh and your idles. I'll try and find it cause it worked really well for me. The idles were bang on and I think I went one bigger size main and air corrector cause I didn't have a smaller air corrector. There's also a big thing on emulsion tunes. I'll find the link after work. Be prepared to order a jet kit, and take your venturi size into consideration. Quote Link to comment

scooter
http://www.classicrallyclub.com.au/docs/Tips_tuning_Weber_carburettors_DVAndrews.pdf This is gold... http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/carburetors-fuel-injection-air-intake/190227-race-modification-45-dcoe-s.html an intresting link for mods http://britishqueen.myfreeforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=626&start=0 This is an archived honda thread with dcoe's. Intresting read on messing with the float height and fuckery. When i set mine up i bought a synch tool, jet kit and some venturis. With the carb size i have with the throats in it the power peaks allmost bang on to the graph in the first link. It makes me wanna buy some 50 or 55's for my 2.3 Mine ran good with the stock venturies, i went bigger in the quest for more power. Quote Link to comment
