The Rebellion Datsun 810 and other cars....

Recommended Posts

This project 1982 Datsun 810 Ka24det is a rough build.....I started with a shell that sat under tree for about 3 years ( pine tree ) then i bough car for $300 then the tow was $100 bucks.... When you get car home THEN YOU SEE WHAT YOU BOUGHT....Mice lived all through the car it took 1 year to clear that out  ( so I though )..

First order was to repair the frame,so I got to work on that so i can jack the car up with no issues.. No rack so I put a 96 Maxima steering rack in car. then I s13 aka 240sx front suspension on the car from cross member to knuckles..... Basicly the car is a Box 240sx in a nut shell.....

So when i took the gas tank down and saw frame rot hidden i was like whyyyyyyyy oh why... So it sat yet again cause i just didnt want to deal with this

Didnt really know how to do thid , but i did something cause I am not a welder by no means of the word..

When you messing with project cars with next to zero funds to spend it is tough cause you can over spend very easy, but when messing with datsuns you can get parts from other nissan new and old which i do enjoy.... car donors have been sentra,96 maxima,240sx, and 280z thts what i like about this brand of car.....

When I made the Diff Mount bracket off of a old front tension  rod from a 240sx if seem so ood, but cool...    https://youtu.be/sJy1E8A9p0Q

Just staying down with my project thats all its hard but i do love my ride

The rear diff mount bracket was the coolest part of the build cause it was simple, but it was hard go this route cause you want to do something crazy, but simple is best....Note that diff cover did not have any studs in it...So i used 350z studs I bought 2 cause 350z uses 1 stud on there diff.....

This is a Maxima not an 810. The last 810 was 1980. Look on the trunk lid at the rear says DATSUN by NISSAN on one side and MAXIMA  on the other. Check the engine tag or car number on the cowl above behind the valve cover... will say something like  HLG 910 FEU.

I don't think I've heard of a 1,000 hp SR but certainly there are no 1,000 hp KAs either. If this is your plan you would be doing very well to get half that. Admire your confidence.

I was trying to see on google if anyone did this before i can say nobody has so i am somewhat I guess the first to put a ka24det in a 910 maxima

You are the second one there is one in California who drifts his 910 with a KA24DE swap, turbocharged. Also another 910 that drifts but has an SR20DET swap.
