Noise when i hit good bumps

So ive been drivn my truck daily for like 2 weeks and this noise just started happening 2 days ago. It sounds like its right under my seat i dont know what it is. I lowered my torsions 2 notches and put 3in. blocks in the rear. So i dont know if that has to do with it. What could it be? Tranny? Driveshaft? Torsions?

I think 1 notch then turn the torsion down maybe some if if anything back up from the next lower notch.

 

 

3inch bock in back should NOT be it.

 

Maybe the square nut is hitting something?

Get under your truck and try banging on things until you recreate the noise.

 

 

 

How are any of us here going to be able to guess with any certainty to what's wrong with your truck?

Exhaust pipe hitting the ground so much that it has been bent far enough to hit the frame or something else when you hit or let off the gas pedal?

Does it make the same noise when you hit bad bumps? Potholes or something more like a speed bump?

 

Hard to say, these old trucks transfer noise so it is hard to tell where the noise is coming from, could be bottoming out on the bump stops

Hey, I just lowered my truck into the f-ing weeds, and now it bottoms out. WTF?

 

Could be anything at this point, but focus your efforts on things that were affected by the changes you just made. Maybe your torsion bars are topping out or your driveshaft is now hitting the horsecollar...? Could be anything.

If scraping the ground, look for something shiny. Probably something low hanging like on the exhaust.

 

 

Move the exhaust pipe around... see if it hits anything like the frame.

 

Bounce up and down in your seat... maybe spring is broken. Look under seat for lost socket.

I had this weird noise that would only happen at acceleration and hard stopping. Metal on metal. Load tap. Super worried something was coming loose somewhere.
