Hood Replacement

Hi guys I'm new to the Datsun and don't know as much as id like to about the vehicles themselves.  Im 19 and am just starting out with my 1968 520. It needs some body work but i was wondering if fabrication is the best route or to switch from other trucks.  I found a 1972 521 i believe and was looking at the hood, i need a new hood, and it looked similar to mine.  Can anyone let me know if they are the same body and shape because i don't want to drive 5 hours to get something that doesn't fit my truck.  Any help is appreciated, thank you!

The 521 hood will not fit a 520, you need a 520 hood.

What do you mean by fabrication, do you mean fabricating a hood from scratch?

Contact Denmarkboy on here he might be able to help you out.  The 520 hoods are shorter than the 521 hoods and also the 520 hood in front is curved where the 521 is flat.

Not a new one entirely just have areas where rust or something has eaten it away. But I thank everyone for the responses and help!

I shipped a 66 hood a couple years ago to Washington form AZ by Greyhound and I think it cost like $70.
