Lozer
Hey guys im doing a headliner and pulled (mostly) out the c pillar vent bits. Im wondering if they are even necessary to reinstall? Can I just put the new head liner over the holes and call it good? Quote Link to comment

Lozer
handy info there. But do I really need them? Quote Link to comment
Draker
Probably not.. but they do remove air from the cabin I think. If you are in a hot climate.. you could probably go without. Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
they allow fumes and expended air to escape the cabin also allowing an unseen or felt air transfer Quote Link to comment

Dime Dave
Pop open the side windows and say its good. One place for entry of odors is the hood to cowl seal, generally long gone. It seals the back of the engine bay so leaky exhaust and oily blow-by isn't sucked into the interior thru the cowl vent. And if you get all the holes sealed up and need C pillar vents, FutoFab has billet aluminum ones in stock, $85/set of 4 Link: http://www.futofab.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_images.tpl&product_id=124&category_id=15&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=81&vmcchk=1&Itemid=81 2 Quote Link to comment

INDY510
I heard they help defrost the back window Quote Link to comment
Dime Dave
If you replace the headliner and cover over the vents (because you broke the old plastic ones taking them out) you've eliminated the venting from the rear seat area, assumng the rear windows are closed. So yes I would say they help "defog" the rear window. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
You could always glue some heavy plastic to the back of the fabric over the openings, then drill/punch a pattern of holes in that. No plastic vent cover, but still rear venting. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
I now offer these vents for $75.00 a set $3.00 Shipping in the USA. International shipping is $15.00 most of the time You can also see other Datsun items I machine on Instagram @MD_Machine 1 Quote Link to comment
