411 heater

can anybody confirm/deny whether the roadster and the 411 have the same heater core?  or another replacement for the 411 heater core?

Many moons ago I blew the core of my RL411 heater!  My reputable radiator shop wanted somthing like $70 to fab and install a new core.  I borrowed his phone and called the then Torrance Datsun.  New heater core assembly in stock and $17!  Guess which way I went?  Don't know where in LA you are but reply if you want my original failed heater core assembly for possible new core build.  Top, bottom and valve assemble in working order, "radiator" core in sad shape.  Slight chance that the 520 or 521 trucks have an equivalent core assembly but I do not personally know if this is a possibility.  Early 510?  I doubt it!

That would be a great start - don't think i can run down to the datsun dealer and pick one up.....for $17.    I'm in altadena, but i can travel.

My blasted core is you's for free!  PM me for an agreeable site, or meet me at the JCCS Queen Mary function in September.  It's no longer worth my while to keep it.
