Another goddamned 620

So I guess it is about time I start a build thread.

 

Picked up a 77 long bed 620 in a twofer deal with a buddy. He got a truck that ran but looked a lot like hammered dog shit. I got a truck that didn't run and just looked like normal dog shit.

 

The truck was sitting at a buddy's over the winter, which made workin on it some what inconvenient. But I got it AAA'd home and I'm getting shit done.

When I got the truck the ignition switch had gone bad and the previous owner just hot wired the shit

 

 

So I did this

 

 

I know I know. .. a new one is only like 30-40 bucks. But this is more fun.

The damn thing sat in this dudes back yard for like 9 years.

 

So it needs some work. Pretty much anything brakes related needed to be replaced.

 

Ive done the master, rear shoes, flex lines, and the rear hard lines.

There will be another switch in the line tucked away somewhere. I have yet to wire it in yet.

Found this sitting in the middle of the street. Mocked it up and it fits the curve of the hood perfectly. I'll slap it on eventually.

Turns out I had spiders in my gas tank.

Took off the floor mats to get a better look at the rust.

 

That little hole is the worst of it. Shouldn't be too hard to patch.

I lost the hood emblem on my 320 towing it home, and tried to find it a replacement on ebay. There were only 3 or 4 and all were asking $150 - $300 for it. I don't get it. If you could get good money for it, it would be hard not to sell it, but it would look pretty cool on the truck too.

Uhgg I know... it would look so bitchin. But It could also pay for a front disc conversion.

 

Tbh selling on ebay sounds like more of a hassle than I care to deal with. I might just keep it. But we'll see
