Need 82 720 king AC compressor

HI  there just bought my first datsun 82 720 king cab. I need AC. Im an HVAC tech and Id like to pull to the job with working AC. Its not a good first impression to show up with my own not working. Funny thing is everything appears all original and the AC after vacuum and recharge still works 34 years later haha however it leaks horribly from the compressor crank seal.

 

My question is where to buy a new compressor i cant find one locally it doesnt come up at all is there a newer vehicle that maybe has the same part that i can search by?  Or something close enough I have the tools to make a custom mount for something different if it will work with the other existing parts. I really dont want to spend 1000+ on full universal set up. Thanks

Try finding a compressor for an 85/86 720. They ran it more often. They have a Z24 engine, where yours is likely a z22. The compressor should be basically identical, zero to minimal modification to work.

 

Rock auto has them for $225, but if you can find it locally, you can verify fitment and deal more easily with returns should I prove to be mistaken.

I just took the AC compressor out of my 82 720 to replace some coolant hoses. I have no idea if it's good or not. I will be driving down to Cape May (NJ) in about a week if that's close enough and you want to take a look at it.

If rockautos picture is accurate i will need to get the compressor lines for 85-86 the 82 lines mount different which is fine but I dont see lines for the 85-86 on rock. Suggestions?

See if 86-89 d21 match and are available, they ran the same engine.
