Anonymous Waffle
Hey, picked this up at Datslocos today, a orange needle speedometer with no 0 mph, just starts at 10mph. I compared it to 50 cars at locos, and they all started at 0. Thoughts? Quote Link to comment
Dolomite
Some extra cool for the "rattiest" ride. 2 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
I've seen a few with no zero. Thought it was weird at the time... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's an emissions thing. There is a switch in the speedo that closes? at 10 mph when slowing down that turns off the BCDD I think. My '76 B-210 had it. If rolling along in gear with the car slowing down, foot off the gas, when you hit 10 MPH the car suddenly drops to a lower idle and slows down more abruptly. It's noticeable is all. 1 Quote Link to comment

Huh thats very interesting. Which years would have this then? The 510's with smog equipment? Likely a smog pump? Quote Link to comment
oakrun
the series 1 1970 240z had a speedo that started out at 10. Maybe its a late 60's-70's fad Quote Link to comment
