where to find a 720 parking brake cable

My 720 didn't pass inspection recently. The reason: parking brake won't hold. I look and the cable is frayed under the dash. The only times I've found some place that sells a front cable, the order ended up getting canceled because they didn't actually have the front cable. Does anyone know where to find one or whether or not something else would work?

Thanks flatcat19. I tried RockAuto (and again just now). Both times the same thing happens after I try to buy the part. I get a message saying: "WAGNER Part # BC123067 is not currently available and has been removed from your shopping cart".

I don't know if the front lengths are different. I'll keep looking. Thanks again guys.

Edit: Searching for Wagner  BC123067 did turn up the part on Amazon. I won't get another magnet with an old car on it, but I'm fine with that. :-)

I would think so as the frame lengths happen behind the cab. This is where the main cable splits into two for the rear wheels. Longer frame has longer rear cables.

So the back two are the ones that have different lengths? Its probably safe to say any longed 2WD will work right?

Rock auto has them in several part #s that say "up to 11/81" what changed during this that caused them to be different after? these are the cheaper ones, so if i can use them i will.

Has anyone figured out if the 2Door will work? If its just a bit too long I’m sure I can get cleaver to take up the slack. Part# C93552
Is supposed to fit 2wd and has the right connectors.

I’m this close to custom Fabbing one up, I’m a mill/lathe operator (not skilled enough to call myself a machinist) I took a gamble and got one of the EBay 3 brake line kits that was gaurenteed to fit. Surprise! They don’t the sheathing is way too short, but the cables are about the right length I live in co so exposed breaklines are a no no. I would rather spend the money to buy the kit than the machine time and a cable from an extended f150 to chop up and make the right length.

Any info would be great

Soooooooo is that a yes?

If the 2wd variant is longer I can make it work but the front cable assembly uses the sheathing as a lever to activate the rear right tire. If I used the eBay cables they I would only get one wheel parking brake.

Napa....they make cables...even easier for them if ur housing is still good.

They also make ac and ps hoses.

I finally found a rear cable for my 720.

About 2 weeks earlier then when I found it,  I was a Napa trying to buy one.  I dont remember what I went back to Napa for, but the last time the counter guy says that we make them...I kept my mouth shut.  But, why the heck didnt the counter guy tell me that 2 weeks ago
