FUEL PUMP CONFUSED! *J16*

Ok guys im confused what fuel pump i need! I dont want electric i want a mechanical one. So ive been looking at pictures and i dont know how the fuel pump goes on! I cannot find alot of j16 pumps so i found a variety of pictures of J series engine and there differently installed and thats where im confused so here are some pictures i found..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can see some are installed with the bolts on top and some are faced down thats where im confused .. i heard j16's are rare so i dont know if they are installed differently from the j13-j16.. need your guys's input and pictures!

..it appears that it depends on what headers youre running will dictate which style pump you can run. A mechanical pump is going to pump no matter what as long as the "arm/lever" is in the right direction and getting pumped as the engine is running.

I keep posting up because nobody really answers what im looking for.. but ill just stop and figure it out on my own .. that fuel pump u posted is the one i bought im still waiting for it to come in .. did u notice my specific question though? All i want to know is which is the right fuel pump.. why the pumps are installed differently but nobodys answered. All i got was get the right engine size pump and ?? That doesnt help me at all

 

I just found this on the service manual for j13 j15 j16 and look how the fuel pump is

why are the other pumps on the other pictures upside down?

 

 

The top engine is j13 as u can see the fuel pump.. the bottom is a j16 and has no pump
