pwrcat4000
My number 4 intake rocker keeps coming off any ideas how to make it not do that I have checked the gap at .008 I have taken a rocker arm off of my old 1.6 liter I replace the retainer spring I've also replace the tap it on top of the valve. My engine is a l20b 2 liter from a 1979 620. It should be noted that this valve is the one that bent a couple weeks back I replaced the bent valve. The vowels event when The Rocker came off and wedged between the valve and the cam support. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
If you replaced the valve and the lash is correct, the only way it could be popping the retainer out and losing the rocker is if the valve is still sticking open. If the valve guide got damaged when the valve bent, that could be causing it. 1 Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
did you take the head to a shop to replace the valve or did you do it your self? if it was done at a shop those bastards should have checked the guides before putting it in. id buy the new guide and make those bastards put in for free since they skipped that part. If you did it your self then lesson learned and I bet you wont make the same mistake again. 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
When at TDC to set the lash, are both valves sitting at the same height? Is one sitting slightly lower? Quote Link to comment
