datzenmike
What tires would look good? Proper size rim offset and width and any tire that fits look good! By 'fit' I mean they are positioned inside the fender and do not rub suspension or body at any time. Well rim offset and width will be important. The offset will tell you how far out or in the rim will be positioned when bolted to the car. Too far out, or negative offset, and the tire may hit the fender or be under the fender edge. During turning or suspension travel over bumps the body can come down on the tire damaging the fender or gouging the tire tread or sidewall. Too far in or positive offset and it may rub on turns or hit the suspension components. Width is also important. Like I always say, do some homework, and research what will fit and what will not fit before you fall in love with a set of rims. Buying rims first and then seeing if they will fit is backwards. Rough on the tire, rough on the body and rough on the looks. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Additional problem. There are only like 3 sizes of tires available for 13s in the US unless you include pretty wide race tires in race compounds. So that really limits exactly what you can do about tires. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Foster Tires on Manhattan Beach Blvd has always been able to get 13 inch tires for my RL411. Just West of the 405 . Usually had them in stock, but it has been several years since I needed replacements. Try the Yellow Pages and call to see what they have in stock. Wide white walls? Yes. OEM Type narrow white walls? No! Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
Umm I'm running 175/70/r13's on my 510. Wanna be brave? Try nankang 155/80/r13's? Quote Link to comment
