Datsun 521 shift knob thread

Not even I know what the stock thread is on a 521 shift lever, and I know just about every other thread on a 521, from 4-40, fuse box cover screw, to 7/16-20 lug nuts, rear bumper brackets to frame.

The engine, transmission, and rear differential carrier use metric bolts.  the drive line uses SAE fasteners. 

A stock 521 four speed shift knob has a rubber insert, so when it is "tight" all the way, you can still turn it to make the shift pattern on the knob point the right direction.
