BLUEBIRDSSS
My friend bought some deep dish rims and they are 16.5x10. He cannot find a tire thats 16.5 and low profile. Can some one please help him with the right size tire where ti find these tires or what's the right thing to do. I know they are wide but he wants the old mini truck look. Thank you guys Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Do the math and find a tire to stretch. 16.5 inch wheels are normally industrial/heavy duty wheels. Most tires in 16.5" are also HD rated. Way to do your homework guys. No spoon for you. 4 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Spoon.... m m m mm Well this is is the 720 section so I'll assume you want something for a 720. They came with P195/75R14s which are 25.5" tall. I assume you want tires the same height so the performance and speedometer are unaffected. These are all around 25.5" tall and won't screw up the performance, speedometer error and will they fit the fender? No idea as you don't have the offset of the rims and I don't know the 720 offset. For all I know the tires may stick out 8" past the fenders or the tires may hit the leaf spring and frame before the wheel studs stick through the rim. 245/45R16.5....are 25.18" tall and 9.65" wide 250/45R16.5... are 25.36" tall and 9.84" wide 255/45R16.5... are 25.54" tall and 10.04" wide 260/45R16.5... are 25.71" tall and 10.25" wide Never, never, never select rims.... and then expect them to fit your vehicle. This is like having a super model wife. Looks great but high maintenance bitch and the fit just ain't right. YOU end up making all the changes to fit her!!! You want to be happy? Always marry within your own species. Same with tires and rims. Quote Link to comment

Rjawm
Good luck finding tires in those sizes. Also make sure you are measuring the rim correctly. http://image.mamotorworksmedia.com/Production/Website/Corvette/KnowledgeLibrary/tire_article.pdf Quote Link to comment
