Bkplunk64
I have already made a new gasket for it but no luck, any one else had this problem? Quote Link to comment
Draker
What material did you make the gasket from? I've made some gaskets and they were just not soft enough to make a good seal. Had to switch to something else. Quote Link to comment
Bkplunk64
Family member gave me some stuff I think it's a paper gasket, I got rubberized cork if that will work Quote Link to comment
Draker
You could try the cork.. just make sure it's not too thick. Last resort, you could apply a very thin, and I mean thin coat of RTV to the making surfaces. Shouldn't need it.. but if you are having issues with it sealing.. might be worth a shot. Just makes it a pain in the ass the next time you have to open it and re-seal it. If it were me, I'd try a few different gasket materials until you find one that works. RTV would be last resort. Lockleaf
If you go to oreilly auto they sell a multi pack of different gasket papers for like $8. Might be worth the effort to get that. Then you have a variety of options to work your way through. Quote Link to comment
