J13/ L series transmission compatibility

Hey guys, new here, but not to the datsun game. Ill be taking possesion of a 620 shortly with a j13 in it. Unfortunately here in new zealand they come with a 4speed column shift box behind them.

My question to you kind lot is if an L box will bolt up the j13?

If thats not an option, what are the possibility of the rear of the L box bolting up to the j13 front?

Any info would be great.

Thanks

You probably have an F4W63 transmission which has only two halves. The tail halves are also probably the same. The front half contains all the gears and the clutch or bell housing with the bolt pattern unique to the engine it bolts to. Sorry an L series pattern is much different to a J series pattern.

J series F4W63 Notice the center casting line is about half way between the two engine mounting bolt holes.
