Hi droski and welcome to Ratsun. I would ask that you start a want ad in our classifieds section... http://community.ratsun.net/classifieds/category/5-drivetrain/?sort_key=date_added&sort_order=desc This keeps our forums clear for discussion and information sharing. I'll leave this post up for now just for information to help you out. Anyone who can help contact OP by private message or this thread will be closed.

This transmission would be an F4W63 with a J series bolt pattern. The only Datsun with this is the 520 and the L521 (one year only) I'm afraid. Internal parts only from the later PL521 and 510 with L16 should fit your old one if you know what's wrong with it.

The F4W63 transmission is made up of just two case parts the tail shaft.... and then there's everything else.

If you have a good 520 case you could swap everything else from another L series transmission into it.

J series F4W63 Notice the center casting line is about half way between the two engine mounting bolt holes.

L series F4W63 Notice the center casting line is much closer to the left front engine bolt hole below...

Remember also that the early 520 used the non syncro 1st floor shift 4 speed from the 320. Total different beast from the later 4 speeds and difficult to find. Some (if not most) MG transmisson parts will swap. The 320 type trans will have a smooth case and a dipstick on the drivers side.
