datzenmike
The very rearmost pulley on the crankshaft is for the air con.The one in front of that is the alternator and water pump pulley. There is a third front most belt if you have power steering, below. The pump is upper left, tensioner (idler pulley similar to the air con idler is upper right.... All belts will slip over the fan blades with some work. Start at the rearmost belt The air con belt is tensioned by adjusting an idler pulley. You can see it between the air con pump bottom right and the crankshaft pulley. That visible nut on front of the idler pulley MUST be loosened and the adjustment screw backed off before the belt will fit on. Then the tension is adjusted and last that nut is tightened to hold the adjustment. Do NOT forget to tighten that nut! The next is the alternator and water pump belt. Loosen the bottom mount bolts on the alternator and the top adjustment bolt. Swing the alternator inwards to slip the belt on, then outward to tension it. Use a pry bar to get about the width of the belt movement when pushed on with your thumb with about 20 pounds pressure. Tighten adjustment bolt and don't forget the bottom mount bolts! 1 Quote Link to comment

BLUEBIRDSSS
hello everyone I'm low on transmission oil on my automatic 720 truck. Can someone guide or help me to get the right type of tranny oil? I just want to get the right type. Thank you Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Nissan only uses Dexron. You can choose your favorite maker (Shell, Chevron, Esso...) but it must say Dexron. Quote Link to comment
BLUEBIRDSSS
Thank you so much for the great info. One more question I saw the Lucas tranny oil and it said in the back that it works also on Japanese trucks. Would you recommend Lucas tranny oil? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I would never recommend any additive. Run what the factory recommends and that's Dexron ATF. Oil and fuel additives are pure 'snake oil'. Unexplained oil loss could be an unknown leak. Look for wetness around the back of the transmission where the drive shaft is attached. Check also the rad coolant. is there oil floating on the top? Quote Link to comment
