I went to my adult education site and selected the upholstery option,  The instructor was entrigued by my Car seat reupholstery,  It turned out that there were 2 other wannabyes in the class! We all made it well through the class!  It's really simple to cut and fit the replacement seat fabric to the existing frame!  Just drape and cut an inch beyond the existing panels and stitch with the existing overlap in mind.  The only problem is finding vinyl whip lacing that looks like the original factory lacing!  You can stitch up repro looking lacing with infinitaly [and cursing] carfully or get replcement vinyl whiplacing.  I went with the vinyl availabl replicate. Good luck!
