Dean720Ada
Can the z24 take a holley carb? Just wondering 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Like a 300cfm 2 barrel? It will run ok but you will have to 'drive it'. Just like the 38/38 weber you won't be able to just floor it but will have to 'step into it' as the engine revs up. 1 Quote Link to comment
RatVonDude
Was looking into a Holley carb because I believe you can legally swap one and not have trouble at smog, unlike weber. 1 Quote Link to comment
Boxcar
5150 Holley Economaster. Good luck finding one. 2 Quote Link to comment
mx71
I've got a Holley 5200 I'm getting rid of. It's the Motorcraft version. Will come with adapter plate, air filter housing, and air filter. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
This thread is a year and a half old. If selling, do it here... http://community.ratsun.net/classifieds/category/4-engine/?sort_key=date_added&sort_order=desc ... not HERE. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I looked into this a few years ago and I found that the "smog legal" Weber that Redline used to sell was very closely related to one of the Holley carbs. Maybe it was the 5200...? Ford Pinto? Sorry, I'm probably just adding to the confusion. Quote Link to comment
racerx
Yes it was. Had those 5200 on 76 Capri, back in the days they were plentiful in the jy, points, bobcat, capris had them, maybe other small 6 or 4 cylinder ford or Merced. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The Holly 5200 was a Weber design licensed by Holly so they could make their own. All standard Holly jets will fit it but not the original Weber. They usually has water chokes on them. Quote Link to comment
