banzai510(hainz)
my first guess is swap the bulbs. make sure they are the same and inserted correctly. Sometime they work 180degress off if a 2 element bulb. reseat the flasher can underneather the dash by the brake pedal. I assume the Flasher Can is there. also ck the emergency flasher bulbs are correct also. to me a bulb is burnt out. or a element. Quote Link to comment
DanielC
Try the four way flashers. If the four ways work, you then know the lamps (bulbs) are good. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The flashers back them were load dependent. More bulbs added to the system, like a trailer, and they flashed faster. A burned out bulb usually shut the flasher off leaving only a dim dash light. Did you take the bulbs out to look at them? Front and back? Are they on but not flashing? If on are they dim?? Try removing and cleaning them so they make good contact. If not drawing enough power the flasher won't work. Quote Link to comment
Middle man
Some times I have to move the flasher switch in just the right sweet spot,to get either to work properly. Doesn't happen that often so for now,a non-issue. Quote Link to comment

Boundish
All lights flash with the emergency flasher so bulbs are ok. Quote Link to comment
Rick-rat
Check to see if you have 2 flasher cans, some have 1 for the 4-ways and a different one for the turn signals Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Trouble is the right side works normally so can't be the flasher unit. Has to be in the turn signal. Still need to know if the front and rear left turn lamps sight up. Even if they don't flash. Quote Link to comment
Rick-rat
OP said the lights come on, just don't flash on the left Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Confirming this. Yes I saw that. I was wondering if they are bright or very dim. Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
Long shot.....is the side in question grounded properly? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Another reason for asking if both are on or if one or both are dim. Any reduction in power drawn can cause the flasher to not work. All it takes is one bad or half bad connection. Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
Ya I had that issue when installing all my electrical components since I did body & paint.....flashers were acting weird til I cleaned all the paint off of the areas where the grounds bolt on....after all the grounds were 100% in contact with metal the issues vanished. KoHeartsGPA
Also make sure to have a good ground from motor to body, usually a ground from the starter bolt where it mounts to a nearby body bolt. Quote Link to comment
