Thanks for the feed back. & I just bought the 521 last Sunday & by the looks of it previous owner didn't maintain the truck. I just cleaned the bottom of the engine bay & tried cleaning it, tomorrow a friend of mine is gonna help me check out the brakes & replace them with the wheel cylinders. When I went to the local auto part store they didn't sell a axle seal? & I noticed old oil stuck around the inside wheel area.

if oil on brakes and you positive its gear oil you. jusr replace this first as the 2nd seal listed by matt the grease seal you have to pull the bearing off. You don't need to do this

just buy the 1st seal

There is a seal to keep the gear oil in the housing, nissan part: 38212-73000

I had no proplem finding this seal from O rileys or what ever but buy the nissanone as its a double lip type. SKF has a single lip and they will leak sooner .

key is not to rest the axle on the seal while installing it to oblong it
