solo
Im sure some of you already know what happen as I've posted it on FB Ratsun. Figured I would post it here anyway just to further spread the word. His car was stolen from his shop Speed of sound out in Sacramento CA. I know the chances of getting his car back are slim, either way just trying to help a fellow datsuneer out. Here's some photos of his car incase any one see's it driving around if your from the area. If it pops up in your city don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks Quote Link to comment

a.d._510_n_ok
looks like a car that has been with one owner for a lot of years. I hate a thief. 1 Quote Link to comment
Dattokai
Truly a beautiful 510 yet an ugly act. These two photos don't really match editing wise, but these are just to see more of the 510. 1 Quote Link to comment

solo
Yes the car has been spotted this morning at 8am in Elk Grove by a Walmart being driven around. They took the sticker's off is what they reported to Phil. Hopefully the next person who see's it follows them and calls the police. Quote Link to comment

Ratdat.com
Sadly the theft of old cars is pretty common here, especially early Ford Escorts which are worth strong money. They usually disappear without trace. Hopefully if this has been seen around then it's not been taken to order or to be stripped down for parts. Massively sucks though. Hope it gets reunited with it's owner. Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
Had a ricer in the puget sound disappear for 12 hours. All fiberglass and aftermarket parts were removed including the wheels. Another set of wheels was put on to move car to ditch spot that had a cracked rim.... Seriously hope that's not where this car ends up. I feel bad for the owner and hope he is reunited with his baby soon if not already Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Good friend of mine used to work for a company that restored an maintained vintage racecars for very wealthy clients. On of their guys was hauling some cars back from a race in central Canada, 2 cars in an enclosed trailer towed by a pickup not one thing had a marking on it. Drive woke up only to find the truck and trailer gone out of the hotel parking lot, the owner of the car received a call that said to bring 25k to a certain location alone. He got there, just the truck and trailer sitting at the end of some road, got a call telling him where to drop the money and they keys would be there. Guy stopped the money grabbed the keys and left, everything was there they don't even think they opened the trailer. 25k isn't bad to get back over a million dollars worth of cars. Was supposedly the Canadian mafia. Quote Link to comment

r0p0doe
I hope it's found, there are a lot of parts on that car done buy TSR so that stuff won't be able to be sold without a red flag being brought up. Hopefully the idiot is just taking it for a spin and dosen't damage it too bad. You can't get away with stealing a 510, especially one this unique community is too tight knit for it to disappear forever. 1 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
I would've called the Mounties. That's what I said, right after "there's a Canadian mafia!?" Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Should have had a kill switch on it. Or a disabling device. How hard to prevent the fuel pump from working??? or the CAS? Yeah, you say: that's obvious now and doesn't help.....but enough of these get stolen that you would think people would do this to 'not be the next guy'. There's even more reason on a 'built' car for wanting theft protection. Can't trust the law or friends or the internet to look after your possessions. If you care about your vehicle you have to be pro-active and look out and protect them yourself. 3 Quote Link to comment
