Its a rural thing, sometimes you gotta rely on neighbors. Its not LA that I don't like, to me its just cities in general. Grandma lived in West Sac, cousin in bay area, cousin in San Diego, cities make me feel claustrophobic. Strangely though, I've been welcomed by locals I'd never met in some "inner city" places. There's usually good folks everywhere if you're open to it, in my experience.
