My Chevy/GMC Projects

Recommended Posts

I currently have two ongoing other projects as well as tinkering on my Honeybee

Picked up this 1969 Chevy C10 with a 292 and 3OTT a couple of months back.

Just finished putting a heater in it, passenger window, front bumper, tune up of the engine and carb, re doing the exhaust, replacing seat belts, and various other things to it. Definitely not the prettiest C10 but I still love her anyways  B)

Other Project I have is a 1969 GMC 2500 that is more of my Dad's truck if anything.

This one came with a 350 and 4-Speed in it.

Much more original and other than a decent dent on the corner of the cab and a rusted out engine from sitting with water in it for roughly 15 years....its pretty darn clean.

Already pulled the engine that came with it out and am going to use a 350 from a 1976 K20 to swap into it.

Will probably get this one done in the spring when it is warmer outside since I don't have a shop and not enough space in my garage for it to sit.

Cut the trucks in half, weld them together, build a sweet 4 door.

If I were ever going to build a full size truck, it would be that body gm truck.  Both look great, but I prefer that GMC front end.  I like the 4 headlight setup.

I've seen people on other forums actually do just that....cut up two trucks to make a one big truck haha.

I agree that the 4 headlight set up is definitely more appealing.

Main reason I like the Chevy is the 292 and 3OTT combo...don't see them very often as most are converted to a V8 and an automatic.
