psycho1
I have a 78 datsun 620kc that i want to convert to 4x4, I am curious if a 92 ford ranger standard cab chassis would workfor putting my datsun body on, the 92 ranger has v6 im trying to figure out if it would work? any help would be nice thank you in advance Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
It will work. Will it be easy? Probably not. What do you plan to do with this truck? Wheel it? Drive it around town? Workhorse? Which motor is in the Ranger? If it is the 2.8L, run away. TTB front axle? Run awayNot a 8.8 rear? run away. Good luck :) Quote Link to comment
Outta_OC
Long travel, equal length I beam datsun would be cool... But yeah run from the 2.8 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
just run the 92 ranger 4x4 and call it good. leave the Datsun alone Quote Link to comment
Rhino13
If it's a 92 it'll have either the Vulcan 3.0 or the cologne 4.0, which in my opinion either of them are fine engines but nothing special. Just do the measurements and see how far off the body mounts are. Is the ranger a 4x4 though? If not find a 4x4 and do as you said and drop the Datsun body on it. You can make anything work with the right fabrication. Quote Link to comment
