Bomboyj
Hi everyone I am bomboyj I am new to ratsun! Here is my 1979 Datsun 210 (b310) she has the A14 with 4 spd manual with 112k miles. I have had her 2 years now. Originally bought in Washington state and hauled to New Jersey when I moved. She was my daily up until a couple months ago when I bought a winter beater subaru wagon. She is starting to show some signs of rust so decided not to driver in the winter so I can address that issue before it's problematic. If you know anything about this specific car that would be cool to discuss. Sorry if links are not allowed I will try to post via computer at a later time if this is a problem. Bomboyj
Thank you. I believe the motor had the gaskets redone around 90k miles by the previous owner(or so he says) He built it up for his son but his mother wanted a safer car for him to go to college with. She has been a champ in my opinion put up with me driving her at least. Now is the time to take a little better care of her. I have noticed a vibrating/grinding(?) noise coming from the rear axle when I accelerate/decelerate around 37MPH I think maybe 47MPH and goes away after that. I would like to do the work myself to get rid of her little bit of rust that is starting but a little apprehensive and don't want to mess her up with inexperience handling body work. Also if she isn't completely warmed up she kind of loses power upon acceleration maybe just a carb issue I think she is running a little rich at the moment and needs an adjustment previous owner installed a dual barrel carb(Correct term?) over the previous single barrel. Thanks for taking a look at my ride and thank you for the welcomes. Quote Link to comment
