Burabuda
sr's are over rated :D maybe, but they're still one of the most popular 4cyl datsun swaps and many guys are repulsed by a 3tc or 13b in a datsun Quote Link to comment
S@nt0s
every true but cant beat performance out of price when it comes to a 3tc.... :) Quote Link to comment
Duncan
and many guys are repulsed by a 3tc or 13b in a datsun yeech. Count me as one of them. Hot rod guys put a lot of Chevy motors into old Fords. I know it's cheap and easy, but it ain't right. All IMHO, of course :D Quote Link to comment

Keep it stock, otherwise you'll have to keep a catalog under the seat for the correct tune up information... Quote Link to comment

Guest jaimesix
There was only 6 1200's this year, but I had a great time. There is a good set of photos at http://www.dimequarterly.com Look at the link under the "What's new" section. Matt (Burabuda) showed up with a ridiculously nice JDM sedan and easily won 1st place. I'm still not sure how they judge them, but I got second place. (Again, I'm scratching my head in amazement) It's nice to get a plaque, but it's more fun hanging out and gaining a lot of tips and info from my fellow Datsun maniacs. I'll see if I can link it directly, but here's Matt's JDM sedan And my coupe (no, I'm not the bearded dude in the photo!) Those photos don't do Matt's car any justice at all, and they make mine look much better! I like that kind of photography :) Also, look at the difference in the front side marker lights. American vs JDM. Moises (Moisabamf) was there from Ratsun, as well as Angelo from No Cal. I had a great time hanging out with those guys and talking shop. Jaime was also there and it was nice chatting with him. He is a walking encyclopedia of Datsun facts. I'm sure there are more 1200 pics that will pop up, but Matt and mine were the only decent ones I've found so far. (No dis intended to my fellow 1200-ers) Mark, thanks for the comment on that 710 owner.:) You are one of the very few people with good taste, good enough to appreciate a Datsun 710. Most people, even Datsun fans, do not know it is a Datsun. Not many noticed it, but that is fine, I am for quality, not for numbers. You are about to become the Encyclopedia on wheels for Datsun 1200 cars! Duncan encyclopedia is adding new pages, JDM 1200 facts!!! Cool! Will let you know as soon as my ride is ready. Work in progress. Jaime.___________________________________________________ Quote Link to comment
