question on swapping in a 2001-2004 pathfinder's 3.5vqde?

And frontiers were barely the same vehicle 96-99.5(vg33 anyways in those r50's) and then the r50 got a facelift and shortly after the xterra came out that more closely matched the frontier...

 

Really just liked the idea of staying Nissan and getting into a naturally aspirated 200+hp v6 that could pass smog and meet the Ca engine swap requirements easily enough...

 

Don't think it will happen though and will prob just stick to 4 banger.

 

Prob gonna pull the head on my z22 tonight/tomorrow and see if it was in fact a gasket... If it is, I'll resurface and reapply then start saving for the KA swap... If it's not apparently the head, then I'll assume I threw a rod bearing and just scrap the Z22 and be ahead a head job in my savings for the KA... Just means the 720 will be outta commission in the meantime.

 

I'll be going over to the 3rd gen 4runner for my v6/off road/camping needs and prob wind up putting the trd supercharger on the 3.4 which just so happens to be Ca smog legal...
