Nissan Vehicle Identification Nissan Engine Identification I have found this information helpful when ordering parts from the local auto parts shops. It is handy to cross reference models and get production years when ordering parts for your Datsun when the kid behind the counter can't look up an application without a year. I took the original list from some parts place on the web and updated/fixed some of the stuff I noticed. gen4maxima536 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Share Posted June 4, 2007 if you want to add this info vehicle: A33 Maxima 00-03 A34 Maxima 04-present engine: all of the VQ30E should be VG30E the VQ30DE for the A33 Maxima 2000-2001 should be VQ30DE-K just being nitpicky.
