datzenmike
I guess you got it running???? http://community.ratsun.net/topic/68010-stupid-mistake-of-ignorance-oil-pump-installation/ If this is while idling... You have 8 plug wires. Check they go to the correct plugs. Check that both coils are firing... then... Timing set to 5 degrees BTDC +- 2 degrees. Assuming it's not electrical. Have the valve clearances been checked adjusted? 0.013" for both sides. The EGR should be OFF or not working at idle. Pull the vacuum hose off of it and if the miss goes away there is something wrong here. Possibly the EGR is crusty with deposits and not fully shutting. This will leak inert exhaust into the intake and totally foul up the idle. Reach inside the EGR valve and lift the plintle with fingernail and let it drop shut... this may be enough to clear it. Or remove the exhaust pipe to it and the two mounting bolts and wire brush the under side. Visually make sure the valve closes cleanly. 1 Quote Link to comment
Pericles757
Okay, thanks a lot guys! I got it running smooth. But after driving it last night it died on me. Seems like the injectors are gummed up. And it is a 1986 Lockleaf. Quote Link to comment
