was wanting to know how to tell what model  p up it is .  pretty hot little p up w some sort of very professional drivetrain conversion to a v6 ford w offy manifold and holly 4 barrel ford trans , and I think 488 gears ,  also some one put some after market tall buckets in it . seems like me at 5;11 is all in steering wheel w seat all way back , it is a standard single type cab .  I was wandering if a orig bench sits that close also , as im looking for one to replace very nice white leather /w black swede type inserts . just to get room . thanks for any help, I'm  danny in Louisville  ky

Hi Danny and welcome to Ratsun. The engine/trans has obviously been swapped and I can't provide anything on that. With a larger displacement V6 there would be little sense swapping the rear to a 4.875.

The '79 620 pickup came in three models. Short Wheelbase (regular cab short box), Long Wheelbase (regular cab, long box) and King Cab (which is a long wheelbase with short box) King Cabs have small side windows, regular cabs do not. The standard transmission '79s came with 4.11 differential gears, automatics with 4.375.. so that's what it has unless it was changed. There's no reason to suspect 4.875s in it, no 620 had them. Bucket seats were only an option on the King Cab where there's room for them. Regular cabs need buckets with thinner backs or a bench seat. Try our search function and dial in 620 bucket seats and see what others did.
