DatMo
So I've got a 73 ra21 that I've been meaning to flare but the inside of the front fender seems to keep rubbing? For using flares, does anyone know if zg flares will work on the car? I don't wanna spend $400 on Malaysian flares that will probably suck. 1 Quote Link to comment
Rick-rat
Heaven forbid, you could raise it up a little bit. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Rubbing because too low or wrong rims and tires. Had to look up what an RA 21 was. God, don't flair old cars. Quote Link to comment
DatMo
Heaven forbid, you could raise it up a little bit.I've raised it up to stock height and put stock rims on and still. It's as if the caster has been ruined although there's not even a faster adjustment? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Caster shouldn't affect rubbing. It's the rearward tilt of the front axle. Usually moving the top of the strut to the rear using an adjustable camber plate will do this, but some tighten the tension rod, pulling the front wheel forward. God knows how much this must stress the lower control arm being bent forward. It's intended to just move up and down. Maybe the tension rod is broken or loose. Maybe the rubber bushings are rotted away? Does it even have a tension rod? Quote Link to comment
