Steering wheel collar???

Does anyone know if they sell or repop the little 2 piece collar that goes behind the steering wheel on the steering shaft to keep the wheel tight? Would any other years fit? I have a '68 520. Any info would greatly be appreciated!

I don't know of a repop of this. Post in the classifieds and I bet you'll find one.

I would think a 521 2 piece collar will fit. 

520/ 521 trucks body parts, and fasteners are measured in inch dimensions.  There is probably similar parts for domestic cars that will work.

Do you mean the two piece taper collar with the small wire that holds them in place? Well if you do I haven't seen any that were different at least through the 60s and into the '80s. They all were the same.

Yes, that is the part I am looking for. I did order it from Zparts, but they sent my payment back saying the part is discontinued. I've never seen this tapered collar in anything I've ever worked on, but it is a very critical part in keeping the steering wheel tight. I desperately need one as Im ready to drive my 520, but not with a wobbly wheel!

Just find any late '60 through mid '80s Datsun/Nissan. 

 

Checked... it's used (48418-30800) on every vehicle from the 520/521, Roadster, 510 up the the '86 Stanza. Easier to list what it's not on.... S10, S110 and S12 and the 1200/B210

Thanks so much for the info! Problem is, finding a wrecker with older cars. Nothing in wreckers older than 10 years. I'll stop in at Ralphs in Abby tomorrow. They may have something old.
