scooter
So ive ripped the dogleg out of my 77 200sx, and now im putting together a 71c using a hardbody trans with a 1980 720 front case on it. What ive noticed is that the input shaft is shorter by about 1/2 of an inch in the pilot bushing area. It does look like there should be bout a 1/4 to 3/8 of the shaft still in the pilot bushing, but its definitley shorter. The splines on the 71c look further forward as well but i dont think that will be a problem. Im wondering if anyone else here is running this same hybrid trans setup with no issues like this. I do have the doner 71b so i guess i could put the bell back on that one and check the protrusion as well. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Was this a VG30i Hardbody transmission? It should be the same. Quote Link to comment
