a.d._510_n_ok
I played the hell out of this one in my junior and senior of high school. it's still a favorite of mine with almost no bad tracks but goddamn it's dark and sad, even the peppy tracks are focused on seeing the world as an outsider. When one of your earliest hits is "My Generation" and the hook from that song is "I hope I die before I get old!" you either ignore that sentiment and continue writing teenage love songs as you enter your seventh decade of life ala the Rolling Stones or you respect the sentiment and write songs that convey to your fans that getting older can suck monkey balls and Pete Townshend has always chosen to use his pen to document the process of aging, disillusionment, alcoholism, fake friends, etc. That shit ain't pretty but it's brutally honest. 1 Quote Link to comment

q-tip
Kill 'Em All, Ride The Lightening, Master Of Puppentes, And Justice For All. I led a very fucked up youth. That all of that. Quote Link to comment
tr8er
Master Of Puppentes, I don't know why, but I found this typo very entertaining. I used to love kill em all. And my girlfriend at the time, total not Metallica kinda girl AT ALL, bought me the gold release of And Justice For All. I've still got that album sealed up. Cause I already bought the regular one. But nothing compares to Master for overall album status. And that's tough cause Ride the Lightning had the best songs. But a couple duds that I always skip. Thus corrupting the album... For whom the bell tolls or sanitarium are both tied for top tracks... 1 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
For me its one, nothing beats an increasing tempo song for me. 1 Quote Link to comment
tr8er
In the top five for sure. Edit: let's do this. 1. For whom the bell tolls 2. Sanitarium 3. Orion 4. One 5. Unforgiven (shut up, it's a good track) Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That all of that. No love for Mix-A-Lot? I thought it was required listening for all NW residents. Quote Link to comment
Rjawm
Best of albums are cheating... Is that Marley album a best of? I can see your point though. It would still mean a lot to me regardless, it's the first Marley album I ever heard. It was left behind by a housesitter who got fired for having a party while we were gone lol.
