CRata20
Hello everyone, here i am introducing myself to this awesome community I've been checking the past few days. My name is cristian but everyone calls me "rata" (yes, rat in spanish, but nothing related with my behavior or what so ever xd). im 20 years old and im from Chile! A few months ago i came up with the idea of restoring an old car, so i put myself looking on the internet of cars that i could buy here in Chile (its super hard to find nice cars like this because these cars weren't shipped to south america a lot, at leas to Chile... So one day i find this beautyfull 73 Datsun 510 (in Chile it arrived by the name of 1500, with a J15 engine) it was in excelent shape in terms of rust, full original, never reupholstered, in general the car was excelent.... ONE OWNER, 170.000 KMS (105.000 miles), i couldnt believe this... Well so i dont bother you any more, here are the pics of ratsun510 (i call it ratsun because of my nickname rata). and the final picture is what i want to do with her. 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Welcome to Ratsun rata! (we have at least one other Chilean member here) http://community.ratsun.net/topic/56322-datsun-510-deluxe-new-one/ http://community.ratsun.net/user/31860-hampemberg/ Your 510 is interesting. Leaf springs, exhaust on the right, fender mount mirrors, arrow front amber marker lights but no rear ones and what is that other emblem on the front fenders? Looks like DX ??? 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
That car is super interesting. As Mike me toned lots of unique features not seen in the usa. The chrome strip door cars are so cool. Not an option in the USA that I'm aware of. Welcome to ratsun, rata! Please keep this car away front the earthquakes, volcanos, and other crazy stuff down there. Lol Quote Link to comment

B-Mackin
Welcome to Ratsun, I'm also a fairly new member to this forum despite having my car for the past two years. You car has a lot of really cool options that USA spec cars dont. I'm sure they will stand out to you after looking around at cars on here. I look forward to seeing your resto progress. CRata20
Yes, it's a deluxe emblem kind off like a cross. The exhaust is actually on the left, maybe in the pictures you can't notice it very well. All Datsun 510 that arrived to chile came with leaf springs, i actually thought they were standar in every 510, now i know it isn't. Anyway thanks for the welcome! Welcome to Ratsun rata!
