Late in the game here.

Are you absolutely positive the cables on the battery are connected properly?

Cannot remember reasoning at this moment....but, always connect the negative post first.

If for some reason the posts were reversed at any point you may have fried the battery. Grab a parking light or something that is easy to connect to both terminals and see if the light operates.

Remove the negative battery cable first. This way if anything like a wrench touches ground when disconnecting the positive post nothing will happen.

When connecting the battery I would put the positive on first. It's a larger diameter and the smaller negative cable end won't fit it, and again, if the wrench touches the body nothing will happen.

I hate the fact that I'm garbage with electrical things but I'm still applying myself to learn about it.... I was told that it could just be because my ground wire is dirty also a guy told me batteries always spark like that but I doubt what my negative post is giving off is normal anyway thank you guys again for the information thus far

A spark means there is a load allowing current to flow from one terminal to the other. It could be something like the interior lamp stuck on. Generally when the ignition is turned off there is no current flow so that if the car is left for a week the battery will not be dead the next time you go to start it. A clock needs constant power but it is so slight it will easily run for a month with little effect on battery charge.

An after market gauge may be wired on all the time.
