Boxcar
One nice thing about a steel chassis. Mounting things is as easy as welding on bungs. The jack mounts and jacks for instance.... 2 Quote Link to comment

Boxcar
Well. We have made some progress. The base has been insulated and wrapped in plywood . It will be final coated in Rhino liner once the rest of the coach is completed. I then moved on to the outer walls of the coach. This process doesn't take long . All seams are draft taped and all openings are ice shielded. Damn thing looks like a space capsule... Today I'm off to Portland for the aluminum skin. Won't be long now. 3 Quote Link to comment

Lockleaf
That looks really good. It also looks like an absolutely miserable job. Quote Link to comment
Boxcar
Yes it is.... My ass , knees , back and head are usually done by the time I finish up every night. It's a rewarding job though. After spending my life building cars and trucks , it's a nice departure. let's see where we are today: The skinning process nears completion. All that is left is the front cap ( this needs to be bent non a brake ) and a few small arias under the bunk. I won't have access to the brake until next week so i's on to the trim out.... And one with the lovely wife for scale... 2 Quote Link to comment
