While I like the roadster, I've never been a fan of convertibles. So I decided to see what it might look like with a fastback hardtop on it. The idea (if I ever owned a roadster and built this thing) is that it has a functional hatchback which opens to allow trunk access, or that the trunk lid would be removed and the top would have a frame which locks in to the trunk latch and the hatch would open above that.

Since I felt like I could see design cues shared from the roadster to the 240z, I decided to use that roof/hatch for the chop.

Sort of reminds me of the DB5...

It's your car, just don't ruin it.

This seems like an elaborate ploy to get me to say "I like the D".

It's true DF, very Aston Martin. I thought the same thing.

Burduda, that's the only real fastback hardtop ive seen. I think it's very ugly. Way too much 66 cuda going on there. For me it doesn't compliment the shape as well. It was part of my inspiration though.

Tr8er- post pics, cuz I don't follow...

Your version looks better. Ideally the glass would be several inches narrower. For looks. But can't go making custom glass n all.
