lookks to be a diesel six maybe an LD28 like kiz suggested? I have no idea what truck it couldve come out of because i thought they only came in maximas. peace.

Close as makes no difference, split the beer you keep the points! LD28, and this one was from an '82 Maxima 'goon. Yous guys are too good.

see, i was actually going to say maxima, and ld28, but i figured that would be too easy. thought it might be some kind of CRAZY canada thing ;)

I knew exactly what it was on first sight but I didn't see this post first.

 

I knew of a guy on Maxima.org forums that used the 280ZX turbo exhaust manifold and turbo to make a turbo diesel Maxima. Says he used just a small amount of boost to up torque. He had a 5-speed and claimed to get close to 40mpg highway. Probably with a 3.36:1 rear

He should have upped the boost as much as the head and manifolds can take- diesels LOVE air. All the turbodiesels I worked with (mostly Cummins B series, but a few Continentals) didn't even have BOVs. Used pretty big Holset turbos on those. Over 700 ft/lbs torque on those.
