Yes you will need 280zx struts up front, I ran 14x7 +8 Celica supra wheels on my 76 B210 with stock front struts and it required rolling both front and back.  Run 195/50R15 tires, anything wider and you will have even more problems. The rears may fit with just a roll, may need a slight pull as well..... Make sure your Leaf spring bushings are in good shape and the axle is centered to the car.  Spacers will only make things worse.

what do i need for the 280zx front suspension? i can get all the stuff from a 280zx i just dont know what i need 100%, i can get parts from pick and pull and from craigslist right now....wish i would of kept my old 280zx alot of parts i could of used from it. i also have a 510 Wagon not sure suspension i have from it but i heard i need parts from it. i also have a 78 b210 which i heard had better parts on it then my 75

i was going to a 56th tire shop in tacoma here in a little bit see what i need so i can get my rims on the Bee was gonna run stretched tires not sure if i have the cash to roll the fenders today there charging $40 per corner which is $160 + tires another $180-$200 i think i only have $300 today and i'm not sure if they charge extra for tires to be stretched i might be able to get away with everything for $300 minus the 280zx stuff.

The '79-'83 280zx front struts with calipers and rotor and without the springs are what you want. The rotors are likely toast so get new ones and new brake pads. The springs you won't need as you will be using your B-210 ones... so leave them if possible. These struts will work on your B-210 and your 510. There's nothing on a 510 that's needed on a B-210 getting a zx strut swap.

Very basically trim the lower B-210 and the zx spring perch off. On the zx strut tube, grind away the old weld where the spring perch was. Install the B-210 spring perch, spring and top hat on the zx strut tube. Use a 2" split collar clamped under the spring perch to hold it up at the height you prefer.

Option 1

You can trim the B-210 coil spring to increase the rate. There are formula for working out the spring rate so don't cut too much as you can't put it back. You can buy ready made springs in the rate you want but $$$ and really not much fun.

Option 2

If the zx struts have never been apart they will still have the original oil bath dampers. (shocks) These may be fine or a little soft from wear. Dump the watery thin hydraulic oil out and refill with 20W motorcycle fork oil. Thicker oil is harder to push through the valves and increases the damping. I did this for $17 worth of Bellray fork oil. A liter does 3 struts. Otherwise the only other thing is to replace the shock inserts.

If you find a '79-'81 zx get the matching 15/16" master cylinder. Larger calipers need more fluid to move them. Without it the B-210's 3/4" will have to travel farther and will work, but feel very mushy. The '82-'83 master has a different bolt pattern and won't fit the B-210 brake booster. Unless your B-210 has rear disc brakes you will need to swap the rear residual valve from your B-210 master into the zx master. Takes 5 min.
