Goon rear end

Looking for the distance between backing plate to backing plate on the goon rear end.

Usually it's measured WMS to WMS (wheel mounting surface) so rims and tires fit.

Saw this and remembered this question.  WMS to WMS is track width.

Rear track:

1260 mm / 49.6 in

Track width is the measurement from center of tire to center of tire. Only on a car with 0 offset wheels is this also wms.

Whoops, you are correct sir.  The track width measurement is tire to tire center.  The above is a factory spec, and they didn't specify what size/offset wheels were on it.

 

Either way, that is CRAZY-ASS narrow..

So you think that the roadster rear end maybe a lil shorter then the goon. Also from what your saying is end of axle to axle is the wms were the the rim buts up to

Wms = wheel mounting surface. So yes, Where the rim hits the hub.

I want to say it's around 45" wms-wms? Where the wagon is around 50-51", so...

 

I have a 280ZX rear suspension I was going to put in one of my wagons because it's only 2.5" wider than the wagon axle. For grins chucked it up to the Roadster and that's the day I learned the Roadster axle is impossibly narrow...   ^_^
